Day 1 | Day 2 | Day 3 | Day 4 | Day 5 | Day 6 | Day 7 | Raw Pics Day 6 - Window Kit It's getting a little bit more serious today. Got to love rotary tools. I will be cutting the side window for the case today. It actually took me two days but I combine here as one. I think all in all it took me 2-3 hours to do it, spread over two days. I used a Dremel like rotary tool from Black & Decker. Not the ideal solution but has to make due. I also faced a few other challanges with the window. The original side panel, as you can see in the picture, has an concave pullback assist and two latches to secure the panel to the case, this forced me to make the cut not center but set back. I also had to go below center because of some exhaust fan gutters. Here is a picture of the cut panel. Adding the window frame. Window seated and mounted, also applied window appliqué. Have to cut some more of the frame to accommodate the radiator shroud. |
